西班牙加泰隆尼亞自治區在1日舉辦獨立公投，加泰隆尼亞政府表示近九成投票選民支持獨立。加泰隆尼亞自治區主席普伊格蒙特（Carles Puigdemont）表示，「加泰隆尼亞公民贏得以共和國形式成立獨立國家的權利。」加泰隆尼亞地區議會可能將片面宣布獨立。
加泰隆尼亞政府發言人表示，有226萬人投票，其中202萬人投票贊成獨立。加泰隆尼亞有534萬選民，這次公投投票率約為42.3%。
普伊格蒙特表示，將把今天投票的結果，送呈我們人民主權所在的加泰隆尼亞議會，議會然後可依公投法採取行動。
